Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce expressed frustration with his offense's execution following Sunday's 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos. Patrick Mahomes and Co. dropped to 5-5 and are nearly out of contention for the division.

Kelce addressed the offense's issues on Wednesday's episode of his podcast.

"Bunch of flags all over the place, whether it was, you know, procedural penalties, which is the f***ing most frustrating thing ever, or holding penalties, which some I'm here for, others I'm just like, 'What are we even doing?" Kelce said, via "New Heights." "'We're gonna have to put up f***ing points to help our defense.'

"Last week, we didn't do that. This week, it's about time we put it together. Man, we've seen what this train looks like when we're rocking and rolling."

Kelce's criticism specifically targeted procedural penalties. Infractions such as false starts, illegal motions and other presnap issues are fundamental discipline issues rather than failures in defensive or offensive execution.

The Chiefs' red-zone efficiency collapsed during crucial moments, and their fourth-quarter execution disappeared. They lost another one-score game, a stark contrast to their 11-0 record in such situations during 2024.

This is Kansas City's worst start since 2015, when it also sat at 5-5. The 2015 team salvaged its season via an 11-game winning streak that delivered a playoff berth despite early season struggles. Kelce is hoping to do it again this year.

"If you're gonna ask about the record, I could care less about that right now," Kelce said.

Kelce's refusal to discuss his postgame performance came despite breaking the Chiefs franchise record for touchdown receptions. His fourth-quarter 21-yard touchdown reception broke the previous mark of 83 shared with Priest Holmes. Kelce finished with nine receptions for 91 yards.

The Chiefs will host the Indianapolis Colts (8-2) at Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
