Bucky Irving has not been seen on a football field ever since he injured his foot and shoulder in Week 4. According to insider Mike Florio, there is more to Irving's injury than meets the eye.Last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back returned to observing practices but did not participate. This week, he was a limited participant. Florio, however, has warned that there is much more to know than what's been put out in the injury report."I’ll tell you off-air what I heard,” Florio told his co-host Chris Simms on NBC's Pro Football Talk Live. “I want to be careful. It just underscores the very real existence of inside information. Because it’s something that probably shouldn’t be out. But I don’t think he’s going to be back anytime soon. It definitely is more information than what’s in the injury report.”Franchise legend Ronde Barber earlier said on his eponymous WFLA-TV show that Irving would not cleared for Sunday's game at the Los Angeles Rams:“Bucky is getting better, but I don’t know we’re going to see Bucky anytime soon. ...Is it the shoulder? Yes. Is it the ankle? [He’s] probably better from that now. But there’s a lot of things that have to go right for Bucky in the short term, and I don’t know if we’re going to see him.”Buccaneers OC confident in Week 12 return for Bucky Irving, Chris GodwinWhile there is plenty of skepticism among insiders about Bucky Irving's status, offensive coordinator Josh Grizzard said the running back, as well as wide receiver Chris Godwin, were inching closer to a return."They're both getting better. ... I'd say it's still a little early in terms of knowing going into the week, ... But it is something that I feel is getting closer. So, it's great to see them and the energy they bring."He also expounded on how they will be eased back into the rotation as they progress in their recovery:"...These guys haven't played in so long, to be able to think that they're going to go out there and play 50 snaps or 55 would be unfair. So, seeing how much they can handle, getting them in there on the plays where we know it's really critical. Let them build their play strength to get their confidence back up."Kickoff for the Buccaneers-Rams game is at 8:20 pm ET on NBC.
