Former NFL quarterback Cam Newton shared some advice for Jaylen Brown after his fake hairline went viral on social media. Last week on Oct. 24, during Boston's clash against the New York Knicks, a black dye from Brown's head rubbed off on OG Anunoby's jersey, prompting him to shave his head on a livestream.
On Friday, Newton offered counsel to Brown, saying the NBA star should embrace baldness.
"It ain't nothing more worse than a beautiful, beautiful woman lying in your bed, and you look up the next day and you see clay on your bed," Newton said on his "4th&1" podcast. "I bet them sisters could say the same thing. It ain't nothing worse getting up out the bed the next day, and it's smelling like an art project next to you in the bed.
Dawg, come on, bro. It's okay to be bald ... Bruh give it up. You got to you got no one to let it go. I'm like, 'bruh, but I gotta talk to my brothers.' Bro, we know when it's time to let it go. Jaylen, I speak for all the homeboys that's out there that really fool with your butt. I fool with your butt, but trying to get the pristine, sharp hairline, it ain't worth it."

While shaving his head on a live stream, Brown blamed Boston, 10 years of stress and the media for his hairline issues.
The Celtics took Brown with the No. 3 pick in the 2016 NBA draft. He helped them win the NBA championship in 2024 while winning the NBA Finals MVP award. Brown is also a four-time All-Star.
NFL legend Cam Newton opens up on fighting Alabama A&M's mascot

On Oct. 25, Cam Newton grabbed headlines when he seemingly slapped the Alabama A&M mascot, Butch, ahead of the school's game against Alabama State. When the mascots from both teams had a 40-yard race, Butch lost, and Newton began celebrating with the winning team.
Butch didn't seem to like Newton celebrating with the opposition and took a playful swipe at the former quarterback's hat before the two briefly tangled. On his podcast on Thursday, Newton opened up on his scuffle with Butch.
"It didn't look like it was playful,” Newton said. "But everything was all in good fun."
Newton played in the NFL for 11 seasons. He spent 10 seasons with the Carolina Panthers and one with the New England Patriots.
