Bengals center Ted Karras expressed disappointment following Sunday's 39-38 home loss to the then-winless Jets. New York pulled off a dramatic comeback on a day Cincinnati seemed in control.Karras was asked how the team dealt with letting the game slip away."No stomaching," Karras told reporters. "Numb feeling. Horrendous feeling. So, that's all I have to say about that."Karras was also pressed on whether the Bengals let up after building a 31-16 lead."I know I didn't. I can't speak for everyone else," Karras said. "But I don't relax until it's (over). And obviously it's a three-hour fight that we lost. We let the Jets come in and beat us today. Horrendous."Cincinnati’s offense looked sharp for much of the game. Joe Flacco completed 21 of 34 passes for 223 yards and two touchdowns. The running game also excelled as Samaje Perine and Chase Brown combined for 181 rushing yards. It was the team's best ground output of the season.Meanwhile, the Jets piled up 502 total yards, including 255 rushing yards in their 23-point fourth quarter that sealed the game.Bengals coach Zac Taylor acknowledged that the team had its chances.“We were right there, we had this,” Taylor said.Karras and Co. will turn their attention to next week’s home matchup with the Chicago Bears, looking to get back to winning ways."We've got the Bears coming to town," Karras said. "So we're all going to stomach this one for a night and get ready for a big week. I mean, geez, we've gotta go."Ted Karras has delivered consistent performance for BengalsTed Karras has been reliable for the Cincinnati Bengals offensive line. He has started 53 consecutive games, including all 17 matchups in 2024, and lined up for 99.5% of the Bengals’ offensive snaps over that span.Karras allowed just one sack last season and was among the top six centers in the NFL in pass-blocking grade.Despite struggles across the rest of the line, he earned a one-year extension that averages $6.6 million for the next two seasons.
