Baker Mayfield called out the officiating after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost to the host Detroit Lions 24-9 in their Monday night showdown at Ford Field."Third down, defensive holding call that wasn't called. And also, still pretty damn confused about the double review," Mayfield said. "Lot of things in that game that (were) a little questionable."But a lot of frustration at the end of that. It might be displaced onto (referee) John Hussey in the moment, but I work my a** off and I put a lot into this game, so, when things that I don't seem are deemed fair, I'm gonna let somebody know. And that's good, bad, indifferent."Baker Mayfield had two passes overturned during the loss.In the second quarter, tight end Cade Otton caught his pass with a one-handed effort. However, after review, the officials overturned the 3-yard completion and gave Arthur Maulet an interception. This left fans furious, as they torched the officials on social media. The second incident took place in the fourth quarter when the Bucs quarterback found Otton again on a fourth-and-4 play for a first down. The officials stuck to their original decision after Dan Campbell's team issued a challenge. However, Hussey, the head referee, was called to double-review the play. He reversed the original decision, awarding the Lions the possession of the ball.Baker Mayfield finished 28 of 50 for 228 yards and one touchdown and one interception as the Bucs' two-game winning streak came to an end.ALSO READ: Top 8 questionable officiating calls from Lions-Buccaneers MNF as controversy erupts over awful refereeingBaker Mayfield shares his thoughts on Mike Evans' injuryThe Bucs suffered a massive blow to the offense when wide receiver Mike Evans injured himself on Monday night. Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles confirmed that Evans broke his collarbone and is expected to miss the majority of the remaining regular season."I mean, obviously, for the team, it's not great," Baker Mayfield said. "But for him, I hate it. Especially when it's Mike. So, unfortunate. But guys will try to step up and play for him."The Bucs (5-2) will be on the road to next face the New Orleans Saints (1-6) on Sunday.
