Dallas Cowboys defensive end Marshawn Kneeland died aged 24 on Thursday morning, the NFL confirmed later in the day. According to the Frisco police department, Kneeland was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after evading a chase with troopers. who attempted to pull him over for a traffic violation.When Kneeland's death was ruled a suicide, AJ Brown's shirt for mental health awareness went viral on social media. In September, the Philadelphia Eagles wideout showed awareness for suicide prevention when he donned a T-shirt with the message: “Check On Your Teammates.”Brown has been open about his struggles with depression. In 2021, while playing for the Tennessee Titans, the wideout said that he contemplated suicide. At the time, Brown said he felt he didn't have hope for better days and believed everything was going wrong for him.While Brown is in a better place now, he has often said that therapy has helped him recover from his depression. He also encourages others to seek help when they need it.Brown was traded to the Eagles in the 2022 offseason.
