"Absolute disaster" - Josh Allen's wife Hailee Steinfeld reveals Thanksgiving cooking attempt that went extremely wrong 

For Thanksgiving last year, Josh Allen's wife, Hailee Steinfeld, tried her hand at cooking. However, it was an extreme failure and an incident that ranked at the top of the list of her worst cooking attempts. In the latest edition of the Beau Society newsletter that came out on Friday, Steinfeld reflected on the incident in detail.

About the failed cooking attempt, Steinfeld revealed how she was trying to recreate a "phenomenal baked brie appetizer" from a restaurant called Perch in Los Angeles. In fact, the actress even bought a "big wheel of brie" to follow the exact recipe of the dish. However, everything ended up going wrong.

"I bought a big wheel of brie, wrapped it with puff pastry and planned to serve it drizzled with honey," Steinfeld said. "Sounds easy enough! Absolute disaster. The cheese melted inside the puff pastry, which somehow never cooked. It was such a mess."

But last year's failed Thanksgiving cooking attempt hasn't stopped Hailee Steinfeld from trying new recipes. Later in the newsletter, the actress revealed baking plans for the upcoming Thanksgiving celebrations at home.

"This year, I might just take Greer’s inspiration and make a charcuterie board," Steinfeld said.

Apart from talking about her itinerary, Steinfeld gave fans a good look at her Thanksgiving outfit and shared pictures of outfits she wore in last year's celebrations.

The "Hawkeye" actress' detailed newsletter came less than a week after she addressed "power and sensuality" through her social media, after her movie "Sinners" made history with its global earnings.

In an interview with "Variety" in October, Hailee Steinfeld dove deeper into the relationship dynamics between her and husband Josh Allen. She said Allen's NFL career has been a true "blessing" for her.

"What we do is so unpredictable, and his job is on such a strict schedule," the "True Grit" actress said. "So, it’s actually a blessing -- I try to organize my time so I can be where he is. This time of year, I get to hunker down, slow down, support him and live life. When the offseason rolls around, it’s go-time for me."

With Thanksgiving almost next door, the preparations for the celebrations have begun at Josh and Hailee's home. Last week, the actress opened up about her pre-work for the upcoming celebrations and revealed a non-negotiable ritual that the couple has planned for their first Thanksgiving together after marriage.
