With Purdy sidelined for more than a month, Mac Jones started the last six games, going 3-3.

In two games before his toe injury, Purdy threw four touchdown passes with four interceptions. The Pro Bowl quarterback has been frustrated with his injury issues this year, but hopes to make a substantial contribution to the team's remaining games.

“It’s been frustrating,” Purdy said. “Going into Year 4, I wanted to come in and play my best ball. … I’m not trying to be ‘woe is me’ kind of thing. We still have seven games here to go and put something together.”

Brock Purdy confident of his recovery ahead of Week 11 return for 49ers

Brock Purdy has alleviated any concerns over the possibility of re-aggravating the toe injury, which he did earlier in the season when he returned to action against the Jaguars. Purdy threw two interceptions and lost a fumble in the game.

“Going into that week, I felt good, I really did,” Purdy said. “And I thought I was going to be good to go. I just unfortunately got caught in a bad position with my toe again.”

Purdy said that while he was able to resume throwing activities a while back, mobility remained an issue for the Pro Bowl quarterback. However, the 25-year-old feels back to his best before the Week 11 game.

“To be myself and play like myself, I have to move a little bit,” Purdy said. “I just wasn’t able to get there for a while. But now I feel really good.”

The 49ers are 6-4 and will continue their push for a postseason spot.
