The New York Jets and the Buffalo Bills were involved in the two most entertaining games of Week 1. As a result, fans were expecting to see a great game on Sunday when the two teams faced off in an AFC East clash.

However, what promised to be a close contest on paper turned out to be a lopsided game. Buffalo took control right from the start, dominating on offense and defense.

Justin Fields couldn't do much against the Bills' defense, which played much better than it did in Week 1 against the Ravens. The Bills opened up a three-possession lead at halftime and continued their domination in the second half. Buffalo was able to control the clock and cruised to a victory despite an injury to quarterback Josh Allen, who broke his nose midway through the game.

New York Jets vs Buffalo Bills game recap

The Bills' dominance began in the first quarter. With the Jets struggling offensively, the visitors were able to end their first two drives with points, opening a 10-0 advantage. This trend continued into the second quarter, with two more drives ending in points before the hosts finally scored their first points.

The Jets lacked the firepower to compete. Justin Fields struggled throughout the game with his reads. His accuracy was also poor, with many easy throws resulting in incompletions.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen left the game for a few snaps after a hit to his head left his nose bleeding. He later returned to the game, but the full extent of the injury is still unclear. Mitchell Trubisky played in his place, throwing two passes before returning to the bench.
