The Chiefs were on a 14-game-winning streak, and their most recent loss came on Christmas against the Las Vegas Raiders. Patrick Mahomes had the best game of his season last week, and hoped to build on that against an impressive Broncos defense.
Denver, playing with rookie quarterback Bo Nix, has exceeded all expectations. Sean Payton has done a great job with the team, and many believed they could hand Kansas City their first loss of this season.
The Broncos were up 14-10 at halftime. Travis Kelce scored a touchdown for the Chiefs, while Courtland Sutton and Devaughn Vele came through for Denver.

Chiefs vs Broncos summary
Bo Nix - Source: Getty
Bo Nix and the Broncos' defense did their best and gave the team an opportunity to come through with a big win. Unfortunately, their reliable kicker, Will Lutz, missed two field goals, including a 35-yard attempt that would have won them the game.

Mahomes and the Chiefs survived a big scare and have improved to 9-0 this season, extending their winning streak to 15.
Everyone knew this was a trap game for Kansas City, and they needed a miracle to win it. The Broncos fans should be happy with how their team played, especially Nix, who went into Arrowhead Stadium and did what he was asked to do.
With this loss, Denver is now 5-5 on the season but can still make the playoffs. As for Kansas City, their next game is against the Buffalo Bills, which promises to be a blockbuster.

Mahomes did not play well against the Broncos, and he will hope to get back on track against Josh Allen's team, in what might be their toughest remaining fixture of the regular season.
