#5 - Sheldon Rankins, Houston Texans
Sheldon Rankins recorded a sack against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, which gives hope that he could be trending up. It has been relatively quiet for Rankins this season, but defenses typically see a boost down the stretch of the season as the weather continues to decline. Rankins is worthy of a speculative addition to see if he can improve in the coming weeks.
#4 - Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Andrew Wingard is a week removed from his dominant 10-tackle performance against the Arizona Cardinals on Nov. 23. Still, with nine tackles two games prior, the pattern gives fantasy managers reason to hope for a boost in Week 14 as an "on" week for the safety.
#3 - Joseph Ossai, Cincinnati Bengals
Joseph Ossai has been on the radar for a few cycles, but it isn't too late for most fantasy football managers to cash in on Ossai. Ossai is coming off a breakout performance in which he had four tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. He's worth adding for fantasy football managers in need of an immediate impact.
#2 - Clelin Ferrell, San Francisco 49ers
Clelin Ferrell didn't work out with the Las Vegas Raiders, but the former first-round pick has been explosive with the San Francisco 49ers in games he has managed to play in. Ferrell earned nine tackles and two sacks on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns. It was his third out of five games with at least one sack.
With Nick Bosa and Fred Warner out of the fold for the rest of the season, according to Kyle Shanahan via The Sporting News in a Sunday report, Ferrell is set to continue benefiting mightily.
#1 - Kevin Winston, Tennessee Titans
If you want consistency, you could do worse than Kevin Winston. Winston has tallied 18 tackles and a sack in his last two games. He has earned at least six tackles in each of his last three games. When it comes to reliability, it doesn't get much better than Winston on the waiver wire this late into the year.
