It's Week 13 in the NFL, which means it's Week 13 for fantasy football. While there are still multiple months left on the active NFL calendar, the fantasy football regular season is starting to enter its final moments. Nevertheless, the waiver wire is open with players to be had.

Those players could make all the difference. Here's a look at some of the top waiver wire additions you should consider.

#5 - Shaq Thompson, Buffalo Bills

Shaq Thompson doesn't exactly have perfect attendance this season, but now that he's back on the field, you should consider him for your fantasy football team. Before his nearly month-long absence, Thompson logged ten tackles on Oct. 13. If he can pick up where he left off in the next few games after shaking off the rust, fantasy football managers who take a risk could be rewarded greatly.

#4 - Joseph Ossai, Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals defense has received criticism in the last two years, but Joseph Ossai is the diamond in the rough this week as a waiver wire addition.

Ossai posted a season-high six total tackles against the New England Patriots, hinting that he could be heating up. Ossai is guaranteed nothing in terms of a contract after the season, per Spotrac, so he has every reason to double his efforts down the stretch.

#3 - Dre'Mont Jones, Baltimore Ravens

The former Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman has been on an impressive run this season with six total sacks. Most recently, he tallied 1.5 sacks against the New York Jets on Nov. 23, which indicates he could be heating up on top of that. Jones is worth considering this week as he is just half a sack away from setting a new career-high.

#2 - Drake Thomas, Seattle Seahawks

Drake Thomas has been a weekly recommendation, but the linebacker lingers on the waiver wire. If this is the case in your fantasy football league, pick him up. Thomas is coming off a season-high ten tackles against the Tennessee Titans, and his third game of at least seven tackles in his last four games. Snatch him up before it's too late.

Geno Stone has had his moments in the AFC North as a member of the Baltimore Ravens, logging seven interceptions in 2023. Now, the safety is playing as close to that level as one could hope.

Stone logged 13 total tackles against the New England Patriots and an interception. If he can keep even 70% of that pace going forward, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone better on the waiver wire for the rest of the season.
