It's crunch time in fantasy football. You're either cruising towards the playoffs with an excellent record and want to solidify your starting lineup, or you're scratching and clawing for every win while finding anyone with a pulse to start for your team. Whatever the case may be, you're eyeing the trade market, seeing who we can buy low on poor performances and bye weeks or selling high on a player we can get value for.
There are many ways to win in fantasy football. The best way to win a trade is to never think of it like that. People often ask me about winning their side of a deal, and it makes me think they don't understand the concept of a trade. The main objective is to improve your team. To do so, you're going to have to give up good assets. It's not about trying to screw over your trade partner. Nobody is accepting lopsided deals. There is too much information and trade calculators (like ours here at SportsKeeda).
So, let's make a smart deal. One that improves our roster for the long haul. The push to the playoffs begins now.

Buy These Players:

Lamar Jackson (QB) BAL - It's been a while since we've seen the two-time MVP—Week 4, to be exact. Freshly healed and focused on a playoff run, Jackson has an incredible set of games in his future. Baltimore will play Miami, Minnesota, Cleveland, the NY Jets, and Cincinnati in the next five weeks. Those all could be wins and big weeks for Jackson in fantasy.
In his three healthy starts this season, Jackson has finished no lower than QB4. His 10 touchdowns in Weeks 1-3 confirm what we already knew: He's a stud. I'm not sure if the Jackson owner is looking to give him up after sitting on him this long, but maybe their record dictates they need help elsewhere. It's not like they played without a quarterback since Jackson's injury. Make the offer.
Saquon Barkley (RB) PHI - Week 8 showed us the old Barkley that we've missed. Explosive runs. Great blocking. Utilized as a runner and receiver. It was all there for last season's Offensive Player of the Year. Then, we got word of Barkley tweaking his groin. Jackpot. That's the door opening we need to buy at a discount. Plus, the Eagles are on a bye this week.
Chances are, the Barkley owner isn't having the best season because they drafted the Eagles back so high, and he's done next to nothing. Buy on the injury speculation and their need to fill their lineup through the bye week. Barkley could be had for a WR2 and a low-end running back.
Trey Benson (RB) ARI - Benson is set to come off of injured reserve and should step back into a prominent role with the Cardinals. In a corresponding move, Arizona cut Michael Carter (later signed him to the practice squad). This shows that Benson is ready to return to his lead-back role. He's much more talented than Bam Knight and should be the top dog in the Arizona rushing attack.
In Week 4, before injury, Benson handled 67% of the Cards' rushing attempts. Also, as a capable receiver, Benson becomes a serviceable flex you can obtain for next to nothing.
Sell These Players:

Jaxson Dart (QB) NYG - Since Dart took over in Week 4, he's finished in the top-15 every single week. Two of the last three included top five outputs. But the supporting cast is running thin. First, Malik Nabers went down for the season. Last week, it was Cam Skattebo.
While I love the talent of Dart for fantasy, he can't continue to prolong drives with this C-plus talent around him. If I have Dart, I'm sure there's another quarterback on the roster. I'm flipping Dart for a WR or RB to better my starting lineup.
Look, you can go add a guy like Joe Flacco and get top five performances. Sell Dart with difficult matchups ahead, including games against the 49ers, Packers, Lions and Patriots in his next five. Also, Dart has a late-season bye in Week 14.
Tony Pollard (RB) TEN - The Titans are awful. If you're rolling with Pollard, you can't be reading this with a winning record. Let's get out from under players on bad teams. Let's dump him on someone else. He's a great throw-in, so you can improve in a two-for-one deal.
Pollard is now splitting carries with Tyjae Spears, and it's shown in his usage stats. Pollard in Week 8 played 48% of Titans snaps, which was the second-lowest percentage this year. Pollard also lost two-minute work to Spears, which is mostly passing game situations. Those are money downs for running backs. It showed that Spears finished as the RB 12 and Pollard was RB 36.
If you can get Pollard off your roster soon, you'll be better off.
Nico Collins (WR) HOU - Missing Week 8 with a concussion. Collins has now been a dead spot in his owners' roster for three straight weeks. He's had a bye, a 6.7 outing where he was hurt and this past week, which he missed. In that time, we've seen Houston target their young receivers and tight end.
While I love Collins' athleticism, I want to move him now before the rest of the league catches on to Houston spreading the ball around to all their youngsters. Will Collins continue to produce? Sure. But I don't see him as the top 12 option at receiver you drafted in Round 2. Collins' name should help you fetch a quality player in return.
