Week 13 brings us holiday football on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, and Monday. You can eat too much turkey, but you can never have too much NFL football. The funky schedule does, however, pose a challenge to our fantasy management skills.
This week will have you working weird hours. You might be traveling to see family. Likely, your focus isn’t on your fantasy roster. Don’t slip up! Putting in waiver claims and scouring the wire for exciting pick-ups aren’t jobs that take the week off.
Trade deadlines are approaching (or may have passed) in your leagues. I’ll give my players to trade for and away for those of you with a late trade cutoff date. We’re just two weeks from the start of the fantasy playoffs. It’s time to make your move.

Players I’m Buying:
Dak Prescott (QB) DAL – I love the weapons at Dak’s disposal in Dallas. He has two elite receivers in CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. His tight end, Jake Ferguson, is quietly TE 2 on the season. His running game, led by Javonte Williams, is serviceable thanks to an upgraded offensive line. Dallas will have to win shootouts with the Chiefs and Lions in their next two games. Prescott has two home games to start the fantasy playoffs with the Vikings and Chargers before going to the lowly Commanders in championship weekend. Prescott just shredded the Eagles for 354 yards and two touchdowns. I’m all in on an end-of-season surge for the Dallas signal caller.
Kenneth Walker (RB) SEA – Everyone likes Walker now that he’s actually seeing snaps and carries over Zach Charbonnet. Over the past two weeks, Walker has had a 51% snap share to Charbonnet’s 39%. That’s helped Walker post back-to-back top-20 weeks in PPR scoring. If this trend continues, you can safely roll with Walker as a solid RB 2 with fantasy playoffs matchups against the Rams, Panthers, and 49ers. It’s not the sexiest move, but Walker could be a valuable piece to your title team if defenses sell out to stop Jaxon Smith-Njigba, leaving light boxes for Walker to run through.
Jaylen Waddle (WR) MIA – Perfect by low opportunity with Waddle. He’s coming off BYE and the week prior finished as WR 41. His owner might not know what he’s sitting on. Waddle is dominating targets in Miami. In his last two games, Waddle has a 30% target share and is averaging 58% of the team’s air yards. I’m in on the Dolphins' upcoming schedule with matchups against the Saints, Jets, Steelers, and Bengals ready to propel your team into the fantasy finals.
Players I’m Selling:
Emeka Egbuka (WR) TB – It’s been rough for the rookie from Ohio State. Egbuka has had one top-30 finish since his Week 5 blowup. Add in the fact that quarterback Baker Mayfield injured his shoulder and noodle-armed Teddy Bridgewater would stand in as the replacement, and it doesn’t give any Egbuka owner a happy feeling. It’s not that Egbuka isn’t getting targets. He’s seen at least eight in every game since Week 7. Teams have simply figured out ways to put the clamps down on the rookie. We’re also going to see more of Chris Godwin and a returning Bucky Irving. I think you can get a solid return for Egbuka at the deadline.
Rico Dowdle (RB) CAR – RB 8 in PPR scoring on the year, Dowdle has been a waiver wire wonder. His floor has been highly productive with three weeks in a row as an RB 2 in PPR scoring. This past Monday, we saw Dowdle’s lowest snap share (65%) since taking over the lead back role. This weekend, he’ll face a brutal matchup with the Rams' stout front before a Week 14 BYE. His playoff schedule isn’t bad with games against the Saints, Bucs, and Seahawks, but I’d like to get something for him before the BYE. It shouldn’t be hard to get great returns for a productive running back.
Brock Bowers (TE) LV – I don’t think the Raiders' new offensive coordinator will have trouble finding ways to get Bowers the ball. Geno Smith, on the other hand, might. Smith has been atrocious. The only thing worse on this Raiders offense than Smith is the line blocking for him. I want nothing to do with Vegas and their difficult schedule in the fantasy playoffs (Eagles, Texans, Giants), which are all tough spots for tight ends. With 21 targets in his past two games, it won’t be hard to find a new home for Bowers. Go find a tight end on your waiver wire like Darren Waller, Mike Gesicki, or Brenton Strange and deal away Bowers for help elsewhere.
