Fantasy Football is heading into its third month. With the regular season rounding its final lap, there won't be too many more opportunities to test out waiver wire players before single elimination begins. As such, a bit of diligence now can set you up for a playoff win later.
Keeping that in mind, here's a look at four fantasy football running back options you should consider that could have short-term and long-term impact in Week 12 and beyond.

#4 - Ty Johnson, Buffalo Bills (1.2% rostered)
Ty Johnson had one of the highlight plays of the day, catching a pass that turned into a breakaway touchdown. James Cook has also encountered some speed bumps in recent weeks, including an ankle injury that affected his ability to practice in Week 10 per the Bills' official injury report and a struggle on the ground against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Don't be surprised if Ty Johnson sees a few more carries down the stretch. Such a move would also help the Bills save Cook's legs for the playoffs.
#3 - LeQuint Allen, Jacksonville Jaguars (0.1% rostered)
Bhayshul Tuten and LeQuint Allen both saw an uptick in carries against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 11. Tuten saw more carries than Allen, but suffered an injury that ended his day early.
If the injury keeps Tuten sidelined for another game, Allen could see even more carries. However, Allen's fantasy football runway is likely shorter than Tuten's will be as the team's third-string backup.
#2 - Bhayshul Tuten, Jacksonville Jaguars (18.5% rostered)
Bhayshul Tuten tallied 15 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown, averaging 4.9 yards per carry. It was his first game with double-digit carries this season, setting up a potential committee approach once he returns to playing health.
His return could happen in the team's next game, or there could be a wait. Either way, fantasy football managers should strongly consider him.
#1 - Emanuel Wilson, Green Bay Packers (5.8% rostered)
Josh Jacobs was unable to finish the game against the New York Giants, opening the door for Emanuel Wilson. It's too early to say how much time Jacobs will miss, but based on the tone, it appears that a multi-week absence is in the cards.
If you need a back to help get your fantasy football team through a bye week, you could do worse than Wilson, who had 11 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown in a game that Jacobs played a sizable number of snaps before suffering the injury.
