The San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers are set to square off in primetime in a season in which both quarterbacks have missed time. However, after a tumultuous moment, both teams are back to essentially full health. This poses a series of questions for fantasy football managers.
Luckily, Sportskeeda is here to help predict the contest and narrow down a few players you can play with confidence.

As a franchise, Carolina has struggled to defeat the San Francisco 49ers since 2019, going 0-2 in that time frame. Carolina lost both of its last two games by a combined score of 88-28. Expect a much different story this time around.
The 49ers are not as strong this season as those teams, and Carolina has a much stronger backbone in 2025. The game will be low scoring and competitive throughout. However, with San Francisco at home and Carolina traveling across the country, Carolina will lose the contest.
The 49ers will win 24-21 in a tight game.
49ers vs. Panthers fantasy picks

Expect both the San Francisco 49ers and Carolina Panthers to have similar game plans. Both Christian McCaffrey and Rico Dowdle are likely to see plenty of touches, which could set up one of the fastest real-time primetime games of the season.
McCaffrey leads the NFL in running back receiving yards, while Dowdle is in the top 10 in rushing yards. Both backs have seen stiff and loose defenses this season and still have managed to climb the leaderboard. As such, both options are worth setting and forgetting.
With Brandon Aiyuk continuing to miss time at a rate that could cut his time with the 49ers short, per Dianna Russini via NFL media, Jauan Jennings is potentially in for a significant night with two touchdowns in two of his last three games. George Kittle also makes sense with three touchdowns in his last two games.
Tetairoa McMillan is perhaps the top receiving option to watch out for in the entire contest, as the receiver is coming off a game against the Atlanta Falcons in which he exploded with eight catches for 130 yards and two touchdowns.
