Which NASCAR drivers are competing in 2025 Snowball Derby? Entry list for the most prestigious super late model race

The Snowball Derby, known as one of the crown-jewel events in Super Late Model racing, is set to feature more than 50 drivers, including a strong contingent of NASCAR drivers. The 2025 Snowball Derby is just a week away to kick off at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.

Headlining the group of NASCAR-affiliated drivers heading to Five Flags Speedway is two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, who is returning to the event for the first time since 2020. He will drive the #51 Lucas Oil–sponsored car for Bryson Lopez Racing. Busch already has two Derby wins (2009 and 2017) and is aiming for a third one

The next NASCAR drivers on the list are Erik Jones, Noah Gragson, Ryan Preece, Ty Majeski, Kaden Honeycutt, Chandler Smith, Jake Garcia, and David Gilliland.

Jones, who competes full-time in the Cup Series for Legacy Motor Club, is a two-time Snowball Derby winner from 2012 and 2013. Gragson won the Derby in 2018. Majeski won here in 2020 and 2023. Honeycutt is the defending Snowball Derby champion and will look to defend his title.

Having big NASCAR names like Busch, Jones, and Gragson elevates the profile of the race and draws more attention to short-track racing. With a mix of NASCAR drivers, former Derby winners, and strong late model racers, the 2025 field will likely be fiercely competitive.

The 58th Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway is scheduled to kick off Thursday, December 4, with practice sessions, followed by qualifying on Friday, and Saturday’s the Last Chance race and a couple of provisionals to decide the starting final grid. The 300-lap Derby main event will be held on Sunday, December 7, at 2 p.m. ET.
