Kyle Busch and his wife, Samantha, have spoken out about a “hidden insurance scam” involving Pacific Life and other insurance companies. The couple shared their story in a video and post on X, warning others about the dangers of Indexed Universal Life (IUL) policies.

Kyle Busch and Samantha explained how they were caught in what they thought was a safe retirement plan. The video was accompanied by a long caption where Busch explained why they chose to speak out.

Busch wrote that they wanted to turn their personal hardships into something that could help others, saying that too many families are being taken advantage of. They wrote in the caption:

"We are sounding the alarm on a hidden insurance scam involving policies being sold by Pacific Life and other insurance carriers... We’re sharing our experience so others don’t have to go through this without warning. We were misled. If you’ve been approached with a ‘no-risk’ retirement plan tied to an index universal life product (IUL)… RUN!"

In the video, Kyle Busch explained that he and Samantha were in New York City to discuss their lawsuit against Pacific Life on national media. He said they had invested heavily in IUL and other insurance policies that were meant to help them plan for the future, but the results were disappointing.

Here we are in New York City,” Kyle Busch said in the clip. “Samantha and I are at one of the major news stations here in New York City, and as many of you may have seen, we have a press release out that we are in litigation with Pacific Life in regards to IUL policies and insurance policies that are also retirement policies for planning for our future, and unfortunately, ours did not go well.”

Samantha Busch then explained how the couple believed they were doing the right thing by investing for their family and children. She added,

"Yeah, as you'll hear when this broadcast comes out, it was a major scam,” Samantha Busch said. “We tried to do what we thought was best for our family, for Brexton and Lennox, we were trying to be financially responsible for them and plan for our future, and little did we know that by investing money in this scam, it's all gone.”

Following the post, RP Legal, the law firm representing Kyle and Samantha Busch, released a statement confirming the couple’s financial losses. They reported that the Busches lost over $8.5 million after paying more than $10 million in premiums. The firm said the policies were marketed as “tax-free retirement plans,” but in reality, they were complex, high-risk insurance products with hidden costs.
