NASCAR driver Ryan Preece has shared the first look of ‘Apollo 60,' his Super Late Model Ford for this year’s Snowball Derby. As the wheelman of the No. 60 entry, backed by RaceChoice.com and Oscar Mayer, Preece is all set to showcase his short track skills at Pensacola’s Five Flags Speedway.

Preece is fresh off his maiden season of competition with RFK Racing at the Cup level. He ended up 18th in points, bagging three top-fives and 14 top-10s in 36 starts. Preece is also known for his association with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, in which he has won 25 times.

Safe to say that Preece has his rocket ready for the upcoming Derby. Sharing a glimpse of his brand-new ride, the Berlin, Connecticut, native wrote on X:

“Our rocket ship is ready for the derby. Apollo 60 is looking out of this world. With a little love from @oscarmayer we’ve even got the Weinermobile on the wrap. She’s in the trailer and bound for Pensacola.”

Ryan Preece is not going to be the only driver in this year’s Derby. He will be joined by fellow NASCAR drivers, Noah Gragson, Erik Jones, Ty Majeski, and two-time Cup Series champion, Kyle Busch. Scheduled for December 3-7, 2025 will mark the 58th running of the Annual Snowball Derby.

when Ryan Preece survived an airborne crash at Daytona International Speedway

For the second time in two years, Ryan Preece encountered an accident at the iconic Daytona International Speedway. This was in February of this year, when Preece made his Daytona 500 debut with Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing.

It all happened on Lap 197 of the crown jewel event. Joe Gibbs Racing's Christopher Bell hit Preece’s No. 60 on the right side, forcing it to go airborne at first, then travel on its rear wheels for a few seconds. The Mustang came to a halt only after flipping over and landing on its roof.

After being checked and released from the infield care center, Ryan Preece said:

“Yeah I don’t know if it’s the diffuser or what that makes these cars like a sheet of plywood when you walk out on a windy day. But when the car took off like that, it got real quiet. All I thought about was my daughter, so I’m lucky to walk away, but we’re getting really close to somebody not being able to, so I’m very grateful.”

“Just superspeedway racing,” he continued. “That’s how it goes. It takes pushes. You’ve got to be pushing otherwise you’re going backwards. I was in position and that’s all you can ask for.”

As a NASCAR full-timer, Ryan Preece is in his off-season. Next up for the driver is the Cook Out Clash at Winston-Salem’s Bowman Gray Stadium. Scheduled for February 1, 2026, the 200-lap event will be televised on FOX starting at 8 pm ET. Fans can also listen to live radio updates on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
