Rick Hendrick has hinted that Chevrolet's 2026 body will be revealed as soon as Friday, November 14. The team owner admitted that Toyota and Ford have pulled ahead in development, but expressed hope that the new body will help them close the gap.

Hendrick recently spoke to NASCAR analyst Bob Pockrass and shared that Chevy's new body style has more downforce than before. Nonetheless, he remained cautious about getting it right early on.

GM completed the approval process back in October with wind tunnel testing and OEM validation. The overhaul stems from Chevrolet discontinuing the Camaro model. It was previously believed that the new body would be revealed at the season-opening Daytona 500, but it looks like fans won't have to wait much longer.

In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR radio, Rick Hendrick said,

"I think Chevrolet is going make the official announcement Friday, so I better not lead into that, but you know it's going to be, you know, I'm excited about it, can I say that. I think we've been given up a little bit to the Toyotas and the Fords and they had a shot at the Apple, you know, and made their cars better. And so we have a turn to work on our car a little bit. And so I think Chervallet is going to announce it Friday. So you don't have to wait very long."

Hendrick Motorsports won the owner's championship this year, but they have fewer wins than Joe Gibbs Racing and Team Penske. The four-car outfit needs to contend for wins regularly, seeing how a playoff overhaul is also on the cards.

Rick Hendrick forced to testify in NASCAR's antitrust lawsuit

23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports have taken a new approach in their legal dispute with NASCAR. Since Rick Hendrick and other team owners signed letters of delcaration backing the 2025 charter deal, the two teams believe it's fair game to question the team owners on the same. The court has also agreed with them and granted their deposition request.

NASCAR reporter Jeff Gluck shared the latest development and wrote,

"In a new motion today, 23XI and Front Row are asking the court to force Rick Hendrick and Roger Penske to testify about all topics, not just the "sanitized trial testimony that they admit NASCAR CEO Jim France has asked them to provide.""

The two teams currently have a leg up in the case. They won the summar motion that classified NASCAR as the 'premier stock car racing series'. The result stemmed from the sanctioning body's own counterclaim, which included a market definition that closely aligned to what the two teams claimed.

Judge Kenneth Bell saw this as an admission on NASCAR's part and ruled in favour of 23XI and FRM.
