Niece Motorsports’ NASCAR Truck Series roster will have a new driver for the 2026 season. The team has tabbed ARCA standout Tyler Reif to drive the No. 42 Chevrolet Silverado on a full-time basis.Reif, who turned 18 this year, made his NASCAR Truck Series debut with Niece Motorsports at the 2025 series finale at Phoenix Raceway, earning an impressive top-10 finish. He made his ARCA debut at 15 and won the event. Announcing Reif as the driver of the No. 42, Niece Motorsports on X posted:Reif commented on his upcoming full-time stint with the Salisbury, North Carolina-based team. He said,“I’m so thankful to everyone at Niece Motorsports for this opportunity to race more for them next year. Making my debut in Phoenix was a dream come true, and I feel like all of the guys and I connected pretty quickly.”“Now that we have a larger schedule planned ahead of us, I look forward to racing on all types of tracks that I’ve never been to before,” Reid added. “We all are already working to prepare for next year, and I can’t wait for our first race together.”Reif’s first race with Niece Motorsports is scheduled for February 13 at Daytona International Speedway. According to Niece Motorsports President and CEO Cody Efaw, Reif’s performance at Phoenix got him his upcoming full-time ride with the team.“Tyler proved to us all that he was ready to run more races after his performance in Phoenix,” Efaw said in a statement. “I was impressed by his ability to learn as the race weekend went on, and his feedback to the team steered them in the right direction. We think he will continue to improve as we take him to several different tracks on the schedule.”Tricon Garage driver Corey Heim won the race, leading 100 laps and beating former series champion Ty Majeski to the start-finish line by 0.993 seconds. Rounding off the top five were Kaden Honeycutt, Layne Riggs and Rajah Caruth. Jake Garcia, Corey LaJoie, Chandler Smith, Reif, and Jack Wood made the remainder of the top-10.The No. 42, which Reif will drive next year, was driven by Matt Mills throughout the 2025 NASCAR Truck Series season. Reif wrapped up his ARCA Menards Series East journey second in points, bagging four top fives and five top-10s. Back in 2023, as well as 2024, Reif finished second on points in his ARCA East campaign.
