Nine-time NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series winner Christian Eckes could be returning to his former team, McAnally-Hilgemann Racing, in 2026. In the wake of the former Kaulig Racing Xfinity Series driver's recently being spotted in the MHR garage during championship weekend at Phoenix, speculation that he would return to the team in 2026 ramped up.Eckes hanging out at the MHR garage in Phoenix was brought to light by FOX motorsports reporter Bob Pockrass. The insider took to social media and made it known that he asked Eckes if he'd reunite with MHR in 2026, to which the driver didn't comment. However, with Kaulig Racing out of the Xfinity Series and Eckes without a ride for 2026, Pockrass came to the conclusion that it could be an ideal place for Eckes to race. Here's what Pockrass said via X:"I saw Christian Eckes hanging out at MHR garage area last week at Phoenix and got a no comment on whether he'd race there in 2026. Obviously they enjoyed success together and with Kaulig no longer having an Xfinity program for next year, would be natural landing spot for Eckes."MHR made the Championship 4 race in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series this season with Tyler Ankrum, who finished fourth among the championship contenders. Ankrum, who's returning to the team in 2026, nabbed eight top-five finishes and one victory in 2025, with the victory coming at Rockingham Speedway.Christian Eckes, meanwhile, competed full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Kaulig Racing in 2025. The New York native posted six top-five finishes and an average finish of 16.3. The 25-year-old finished 13th in the points standings. Eckes is a free agent ahead of 2026 after Kaulig Racing announced they were leaving the Xfinity Series to focus on their Cup team and newly-formed Truck program.Christian Eckes expressed confusion after NBC's abrupt end of coverage following Cup title race: "Where's the post-race coverage?"As Kyle Larson outlasted Denny Hamlin to win his second career NASCAR Cup Series championship, there wasn't much for viewers to see after the checkered flag flew. NASCAR on NBC conducted post-race interviews with Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin before going off the air just minutes after the race. The post-race coverage continued on NBC's streaming network Peacock. The abrupt end confused Christian Eckes, who was watching the Phoenix Cup race on television. Eckes took to X following the race on Nov. 2 and expressed confusion in the minimal post-race coverage. Here's what he wrote:"Uh… where’s the post-race coverage? Who won the race? Anything?"Prior to moving up to the Xfinity Series full-time in 2026, Christian Eckes competed full-time in the CRAFTSMAN Truck Series. He last won four races in the 2024 season and finished a career-high third in the championship standings.
