NASCAR champion Kyle Busch took to X and wished his fans on Thanksgiving. The driver just wrapped up his third full season with Richard Childress Racing and is currently in his off-season.

Busch is enjoying the off-season with his family. Along with the note he shared on X, the 40-year-old shared a few pictures with his wife, Samantha and kids, Brexton and Lennix. He wrote,

“Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours!! Thankful for our family, friends, team, partners, and #RowdyNation! Eat up today!!”

Busch logged a top-five finish in the 2025 championship race at Phoenix. However, he was winless throughout the season, failing to make the playoffs. The two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion hasn’t won since June 2023.

2026 will mark Busch’s first season at Richard Childress Racing with Jim Pohlman as his crew chief. The duo will debut in the season-opening Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, which is scheduled for February 1, 2026.

“I think this offseason will be different just based off of trying to build some camaraderie and some time with Jim," Kyle Busch told NASCAR.com. "Being able to spend some time with him and just kind of figure things out and what makes him tick, and obviously ways of things of what makes me tick and getting on the same page to start our season.”

Last season, Busch finished a career-worst 21st in points. He was able to capture only three top-fives, his fewest in 21 full seasons in the Cup Series. Busch’s next points race, which is also the 68th running of the crown jewel Daytona 500, is scheduled for February 15, 2026.

NASCAR lawsuit judge takes over Kyle Busch’s case against insurance company

U.S. District Court Judge Kenneth Bell is going to look after Kyle Busch’s lawsuit against Pacific Life Insurance Company, which the driver launched earlier this month. Busch thought that Pacific’s life insurance plan would secure his retirement with self-funding income, but when he received a sixth premium notice for a five-year arrangement, he knew something was off.

Busch and his wife hired another independent firm to look into the matter. They were told that their policy would lapse in 16 months, and the $10.4 million that they had invested was gone.

“I was like, wait a second, what am I getting a sixth-year premium payment for?" Kyle Busch said in an interview. "We got on a call with the guy who sold me the premium policies and he ran me around in all these circles, couldn't answer the questions, so I was like, this is fishy."

Through the lawsuit against Pacific Life Insurance, Busch demands $8.5 million. He said he was promised that by investing $1 million each year for five years, he would get $8 million in return every year, starting at age 52. But clearly, that didn’t happen as his money, instead of going into the market, was getting deposited into the insurance company's account.
