Larson collected his second Cup Series title last Sunday after finishing in third place at the season's finale in Phoenix. The Hendrick Motorsports No. 5 driver is only the third active full-time driver to win multiple championships after Joey Logano and Kyle Busch. He attended the awards show with his wife, Katelyn, and their three kids, Owen Miyata Larson, Audrey Lane Larson, and Cooper Donald Larson. Katelyn later posted a series of chic family shots at the Scottsdale event in the JW Marriott Resort.

Larson dedicated his trophy to his late public relations manager, Jon Edwards, who tragically passed away in May this year, and thanked family, team members, and crew. The title also marked Hendrick Motorsports' 15th Cup Series championship and fell in the 30th anniversary year of former Cup champion Jeff Gordon's first title.

Meanwhile, JR Motorsports fell short of a championship this season after entering the 2025 final at Phoenix Raceway with three drivers

"Wasn't meant to be" - Kelley Earnhardt on 'one race' championship and JRM loss

JRM rookie Connor Zilisch, 2024 Xfinity champion Justin Allgaier, and Carson Kvapil were three of the four drivers in the final playoff round. But despite winning the most races and dominating most of the season, the team failed to capture the championship. The 2025 Xfinity title went to Richard Childress Racing's Jesse Love, who passed Zilisch with 24 laps remaining and held on for the win.

Allgaier finished third in the playoff race, and the team also missed out on the owner's title. Kelley Earnhardt also reacted to the loss in a post on Facebook.

"It wasn't meant to be…one race to determine the championship. I'm super proud of our organization and the year we had. Champions in my book day in and day out," Kelley Earnhardt wrote.

Allgaier did win the Xfinity Series Most Popular Driver for the sixth time this year. The 39-year-old's win marked the team's 16-year streak of winning the award in the series. But Allgaier's three-year run was interrupted by Noah Gragson in 2022.

Meanwhile, Connor Zilisch, who posted 10 wins and landed the series' most consecutive top-5 finishes this season, earned the Rookie of the Year award. Zilisch will move to the Cup Series full-time next season, and Rajah Caruth will take his place in the O'Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026.
