JRM driver, Justin Allgaier earned himself a spot among the elites following the conclusion of the Xfinity Series Championship 4 race at the Phoenix Raceway. Allgaier, who was competing for the title, finished the season with over 1000 laps and matched the likes of Kyle Busch, Sam Ard, and Kevin Harvick.

The final race of the 2025 Xfinity Series has just been concluded, and Jesse Love of Richard Childress Racing won it. Love snatched the win from his friend, Connor Zilisch, and went on to lift the trophy, as he finished ahead of Aric Almirola.

Allgaier, on the other hand, came home in fifth place, and as a result, none of the JRM drivers were able to achieve anything significant. However, for Allgaier, a milestone came calling as he finished the season by leading over 1035 laps.

Interestingly, this was not the first time JRM star, Justin Allgaier, the 2024 Xfinity Series champion, achieved this feat. Last year, he finished the season with over 1000 lead laps, and this year he made it two in a row, in all 16 seasons he raced in the second-tier stock car racing.

Before him, former NASCAR driver Kevin Harvick also finished two seasons with over 1000 lead laps, Sam Ard did three seasons, and Kyle Busch a staggering 10 times. Interestingly, both Harvick and Busch raced in the Xfinity Series for over two decades, while Ard raced for only three seasons. (Stats via NASCAR insights)

JRM driver ended up with another feather on his cap

JR Motorsports driver, Connor Zilisch ended his campaign with the Rookie of the Year award. The #88 driver lost the championship to Jesse Love, but had to stay content with the award following the conclusion of the Championship 4 race at Phoenix.

"I’m still so proud of my team, what we’ve accomplished this year,” Zilisch said post-race. “We have nothing to hang our heads about. We were the best car for two-thirds of the year. We dominated until these last three races. Yeah, it cost us a championship, so… We’ll keep our heads high."

“We are walking home with more than three times as many trophies as anybody else. We won the most races, had the most Top-10s, Top-5s, poles. There’s no reason we should be upset because of this outcome," he further added.

The JRM driver, Connor Zilisch was the hot favorite to win the championship. However, he lost out his race lead in the final stage of the championship, and eventually finished third. With this, Zilisch finished his season with 10 wins, and 18 straight Top 5s.
