NASCAR Xfinity Series team JR Motorsports announced the return of Kampgrounds of America, Inc. as a sponsor for the 2026 season for Connor Zilisch and Wyatt Miller. Later, during a media interaction, Zilisch expressed his excitement about the organization's return to the team in the next season.

KOA will be the primary sponsor for one race with the stock car racing prodigy. Zilisch has been competing with JR Motorsports since the 2024 season and landed a full-time seat in 2025. He claimed to enjoy working with the largest system of a privately held campground organization.

Connor Zilisch moved to the Cup Series as a full-time driver for Trackhouse Racing in the #88 Chevy for the 2026 season. However, he will also compete part-time for JRM in the #1 Chevy, and Kampgrounds of America, Inc. will sponsor his ride as a primary partner for one race. Reflecting on that, Zilisch told the media (via Jayski):

“It’s so cool to be back in the KOA Chevrolet in 2026. I really enjoyed continuing to get to know everyone from KOA this past season and learning more about their business. KOA has been a big part of my NASCAR career from the very beginning, and I am proud to wear their colors again next season.”

KOA will sponsor Zilisch's #1 JRM Chevy at Chicagoland Speedway on July 4, 2026. Broadcasting platforms CW, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90 will air the event live. Additionally, the organization will be a full-time associate partner for JRM, along with a year-long partnership with Wyatt Miller.

Connor Zilisch broke the 41-year-old NASCAR record in his rookie season at Kansas Speedway

In September 2025, after the Kansas Speedway race, JR Motorsports driver Connor Zilisch broke Sam Ard's 41-year-old record. Despite losing the race, the 19-year-old driver shattered the record of scoring 15 back-to-back top-five finishes in his rookie season.

Zilisch was on a 15-race streak of clinching top-five finishes ahead of the Kansas race. Although the JRM driver did not win the race, he posted a second-place finish behind Brandon Jones and broke Ard's decades-long record, securing his 16th consecutive top-five finish.

Reflecting on the same, NASCAR's insights page shared the exciting news with stock car racing fans and wrote:

"Connor Zilisch has now scored a top five in 16 CONSECUTIVE NASCAR Xfinity Series races, surpassing Sam Ard's 41 year old record to be the longest in Series history."

Connor Zilisch wrapped his rookie Xfinity Series season in second place behind Jesse Love. He clinched 10 victories, 23 top tens, 20 top fives, and eight pole positions in the 2025 season. Additionally, he led 1,013 laps with an average start of 6.844 and an average finish of 8.031 this year.
