Joe Gibbs Racing owner Joe Gibbs touched upon the Martinsville issues and revealed that the issues his drivers faced during last week's race will not return in Phoenix. Speaking in a recent interview, Gibbs informed that the team has got the issues "covered".Leading JGR drivers, Denny Hamlin and Chase Briscoe, faced mechanical issues in the Xfinity 500 race at Martinsville. As per reports, they were caused by a bad batch of valve springs. However, as per Gibbs, JGR has tackled the issue, and it will not come back to haunt them at the final race of the season. Speaking about this in a recent interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, here's what the owner of JGR said:"I think it always concerns you, obviously. Any time you have a motor issue, but we feel like this morning we've been through every single thing that happened, we've got all the parts out in here and I think we have a plan, a strategy, where we think we got ourselves in a good position.""And it won't come back to us this next week in Phoenix. I think we've got those parts and anytime you've valve spring issues, they come in batches. So I think we got things covered," he further added. As a result of the mechanical issues, Chase Briscoe had to go out of the lap on Lap 295, and Denny Hamlin did it on Lap 334. William Byron won the race and, as a result, qualified for the final round, along with Kyle Larson of Hendrick Motorsports.Joe Gibbs Racing driver let his feelings known after Martinsville issueDenny Hamlin, driver of the #11 King's Hawaiian Toyota of Joe Gibbs Racing, pits during the NASCAR Cup Series Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway on October 26, 2025 in Martinsville, Virginia - Source: GettyJoe Gibbs Racing star Denny Hamlin shared his thoughts after he faced a mechanical issue at the Martinsville Speedway.
