The announcement of Johnson's involvement with Collars and Co. came Wednesday morning via X. Joseph Srigley, a racing insider, took to the social media platform to share the news of the 83-time Cup Series winner's newest partnership. It was also made clear that Collars and Co. has become the official apparel partner of Legacy Motor Club, a team co-owned by Johnson.

Here's what Srigley wrote via X:

"NEWS: @CollarsandCoUSA has named #NASCAR Cup Series champion @JimmieJohnson as its newest brand ambassador. As part of the relationship, the company will also become the ‘Official Apparel Partner’ of @LEGACYMotorClub."

Collars and Co., referred to as "The Original Dress Collar Polo" on their website, are known for their variety of men's clothing. Per their website, they promote "firm collar technology" in their clothing, stressing that their collars never lose structure. The company promotes their "all day comfort" in their products, as well as high performance fabric and superior craftsmanship.

Jimmie Johnson co-owns Legacy Motor Club with fellow seven-time Cup Series champion Richard Petty. The team fields two full-time Cup entries, one driven by Erik Jones in the #43 Toyota, the other fielded by John Hunter Nemechek in the #42 Toyota. Johnson, meanwhile, has gotten behind the wheel of the #84 machine on a part-time basis. The partnership between Johnson and Petty was formed ahead of the 2023 season.

Aside from that, Johnson hasn't made any other plans for 2026. He competed in two races in 2025, including the season-opening Daytona 500, a race he finished third in. The California native also competed in the Coca-Cola 600, but registered a 40th-place finish after getting involved in a crash.

Jimmie Johnson competed full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series from 2002-2020 behind the wheel of the #48 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet. He earned 83 career Cup victories and a record-tying seven Cup titles, tied with Richard Petty and the late Dale Earnhardt.
