Last year, Larson made waves in Australia by winning the inaugural High Limit International at Perth Motorplex and earned the huge prize money of $100,000 AUD, the richest single payday in Australian sprint car history. This year, the prize money is $110,000 AUD.

Kyle Larson, who is regarded as one of the world’s most accomplished drivers, drove the #1K car for Jason Pryde Motorsport and won the feature race, beating local favorite James McFadden late in the High Limit International event.

The 2025 season had been incredible for Larson as he won his second NASCAR Cup Series championship at Phoenix and multiple sprint car victories. He will look to end the year on a high note by winning back-to-back High Limit events in Australia. The event will be streamed live on FloRacing.

Along with the NASCAR champion, 10 other American sprint car drivers are slated to compete in the 2025 High Limit International event. These drivers are Buddy Kofoid, Brad Sweet, Carson Macedo, Rico Abreu, Aaron Reutzel, Corey Day, Cole Macedo, Brock Zearfoss, Justin Whittal, and Xavier Doney.

“It is the toughest form of racing”: Kyle Larson lauded the competitiveness of High Limit racing

After winning the High Limit Joker’s Jackpot at Eldora Speedway in July 2025, Kyle Larson pushed back against the idea that sprint car racing was somehow a lower level compared to NASCAR. He lauded the sport of sprint car racing as one of the toughest among the most competitive forms of racing he participates in, with elite drivers and high-quality equipment.

Larson, who is also a co-founder of High Limit Racing, said (via on3.com):

“It’s hard to describe, and I think a lot of fans see me race on Sundays, and they have a misconception of sprint car racing, that this isn’t, you know, professional, and I come ‘down’ to win these races. But it is the toughest form of racing I get a chance to be a part of. So, the quality of equipment, the quality of drivers, the fans, and everybody involved. Everybody’s, you know, partners and sponsors.

“This is as professional as it gets for American auto racing. So, happy to be a part of it, happy to be a part of High Limit Racing, and FloRacing having us on FS1 night. Can’t say enough about it.”

Kyle Larson, who competed full-time with Hendrick Motorsports in the Cup Series, had won nine sprint car victories this year and is now the favorite to win the 10th at Perth Motorplex in December.
