Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks's and RTA's (Race Team Alliance) emails and texts were made public following the antitrust lawsuit between Cup Series teams and NASCAR. The chats displayed that the Race Team Alliance aimed to host race events outside the governing body's jurisdiction in Oman. The alliance revealed that they considered hosting the events at Mexico City, New Orleans, Downtown Nashville, and Churchill Downs. However, the RTA found that Oman was the best choice to host the events. This situation took place during the charter negotiations with the sanctioning body. So they wanted to race with their drivers and cars without NASCAR's interference.Oman became the top choice of Trackhouse Racing owner Justin Marks and the RTA because they believed "the world is ready for stock car racing." Additionally, the Omani government showcased its interest in the idea. The Sport & Youth minister directly spoke to Marks about building a new motorsports culture in the area.NASCAR journalist Matt Weaver shared the email from RTA Executive Director Jonathan Marshall to Trackhouse Racing owner regarding running events in Oman. Weaver wrote:"Jonathan Marshall email to Justin Marks on the topic of running the race in Oman (as Bob detailed in quoted documents below)"The RTA had Muscat, the capital of Oman, in mind to host the race events. The track would have followed a street circuit similar to Monaco or a track in Sultan Qaboos Stadium, following NASCAR's L.A. Coliseum concept. The alliance would have used TA2 cars, Late Model, or a new custom-built stock car designed by Ray Evernham.“I'm not sad for this”: Daniel Suarez opened up about his exit from Trackhouse Racing ahead of the 2026 Cup Series seasonIn July 2025, Trackhouse Racing driver Daniel Suarez was featured in an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Ch. 90.
