Kyle Petty returned to Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion this Tuesday and recalled his first visit in 1995. He mentioned that taking a picture outside the front gate was a highlight of his life and that he will return to the estate next year as part of his annual weeklong motorcycle ride to raise money for children's causes.

In a video posted on X, Petty stood in front of the 13.8-acre estate in Memphis, which Presley owned, and said:

"In 1995, the Kyle Petty Charity Ride came through Memphis on the very first ride we ever did. I parked my bike right here and sat on it and had my photo taken in front of Elvis's Gates. That was the highlight of my life. I'm telling you, a highlight of that year. We still have that iconic photo and that's a huge moment. We're coming back for the 30th."

Petty, who made over 800 starts in the Cup series, collected eight wins and finished fifth in the championship run twice (1992 and 1993). He launched the Kyle Petty Charity Ride Across America in 1995 to raise money for children's charities, including Camp Victory Junction. The camp was founded in 2004 in memory of his late son, Adam.

This year, the ride raised about $1.4 million to help children with chronic medical conditions.

In another video on X, Petty recalled Don Tilley, who co-founded the charity ride with him, driving down Highway 64, and shared how he learned to ride long distances from the late legendary biker and owner of Tilley Harley-Davidson.

"I learned to ride long trips with Don Tilley... And Don taught me how to pack a bike, how to ride a bike, how to prepare to ride a bike, and to always ride a stock Harley Davidson. That's what Don always said, so that's what I did," he said.

"We rode this road from Statesville, North Carolina to Memphis, I don't know how many times. It was fun, it was scenic, it was a lot better than being on 40 and being on the interstate with those trucks," he added.

Petty also mentioned that Highway 64 will be part of the Kyle Petty Charity Ride next year. The 30th Anniversary ride will run from May 1 to May 9, 2026, from Sonoma Raceway to Charlotte Motor Speedway in North Carolina.

The motorcycle ride has logged over 13 miles and raised about $23 million for charity over the last 29 years.
