Tricon Garage announced Corey Heim's departure from the team on Wednesday. The 23-year-old driver debuted in the Truck Series in 2021 with Kyle Busch Motorsports, driving the #51 Toyota. After spending two years with the team, he landed his maiden full-time seat with Tricon in 2023.

Heim clinched his first-ever Truck Series championship title this season. He logged an astonishing 12 victories, 21 top tens, 19 top fives, and seven pole positions in 25 starts. According to Daily Downforce, Heim will now aim for a promotion.

Corey Heim amassed 23 victories in the Truck Series, followed by 51 top fives, 68 top tens, and 14 pole positions in 89 starts. Additionally, he maintained an average start of 7.4 and an average finish of 8.1 in his five-year career.


Corey Heim broke Mike Skinner's legendary record after securing his maiden NASCAR championship title

Former Tricon Garage driver Corey Heim won the 2025 Truck Series championship title on October 31. Heim surpassed NASCAR legend Mike Skinner, who held the series record for leading the most laps in a single season.

The former Truck Series driver set the record by leading 1533 laps in the 1996 season, and it remained untouched until the 2025 season. Heim was six laps behind entering the Phoenix race but managed to break the record and clinch the Truck Series.

Additionally, Heim became the first driver in all three NASCAR series to lead at least one lap in every race in a season, as per stock car analyst Jeff Gluck.

Corey Heim started the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship race from sixth place. He secured the position with a best time of 26.77 seconds, achieving a top speed of 134.47 mph. Later, he made a seven-wide pass in overtime, leading to his victory.
