The main event will begin at noon at Boulevard Bistro. Later, the parade will kick off from Elk Grove Blvd and end at Old Town Plaza. Furthermore, the parade is open and free for the public to join. The Hendrick Motorsports driver has childhood memories of the Sonoma Raceway. He spent his time enjoying races there and has some records there. Larson clinched five pole positions along with two victories in 2021 and 2024 in the Toyota/Save Mart 350. He will return to the track on June 28, 2026.

"An interaction I'll never forget": Kyle Larson got candid about Denny Hamlin missing the championship title

The #11 Toyota had decent qualifying sessions and dominated the 319-lap race. Hamlin led 208 laps at the main event, but it wasn't enough for him to be the champion. His last pit call changed the outcome of the race, allowing Larson to take the lead and clinch his second title.

Recalling the meeting with the JGR driver, Kyle Larson praised him for his efforts. Despite a heartbreaking moment at Phoenix, Hamlin reached out to Larson and congratulated him on his victory. Later, during the interview, the HMS driver told the press:

"So we got to talk for a minute. Yeah, it was tough stuff. You could see the disappointment and pain in his face. Yeah, just, you know, probably a moment that I won’t an interaction I’ll never forget. You know, I still feel, I think we all do, feel bad for how it went down. But yeah, that’s why it’s been kind of awkward. Like, I’m super happy, but then there’s also part of this, like I’m equally as bummed for him and everybody else too."

Denny Hamlin and his crew chief, Chris Gayle, agreed to change four tires during the last restart of the Championship 4 race, while others went in the pits for two tires. This decision cost the #11 team multiple positions, and they were unable to catch Larson, who finished the race in third place.
