Danica Patrick has recently commented on Mark Cuban’s reaction to Zohran Mamdani’s promises as New York’s soon-to-be mayor. Mamdani, who will take office on January 1, 2026, will reportedly seek to make New York affordable. But Cuban says that’s not possible.

The former driver shared a clip of Cuban’s interview on her Instagram story. Cuban, who is best known for his appearance on the ABC reality television series Shark Tank, spoke particularly about Mamdani’s promises about free housing, free transportation, and cheaper groceries.

“I mean, of course, that’s what they need particularly in New York and that’s what they’re gonna respond positively to,” Cuban explained.

When asked if that would work, Cuban exclaimed,

“No, of course not!”

Patrick weighed in on the matter. Siding with the American businessman, she wrote,

“Can this work! "No!" Nothing is free people. And if it is, you're the product.”

When Danica Patrick revealed how she became interested in politics

Danica Patrick started taking an interest in politics after she attended Turning Point USA's AmericaFest, where she met Tucker Carlson, an American conservative political commentator known for hosting the Tucker Carlson Tonight show on Fox News from 2016 to 2023.

In a statement made earlier this year (as quoted by The Mirror US), Patrick recalled her meeting with Carlson.

“And just like that.... I'm into politics," Danica Patrick said. "I have steered clear of it because as an athlete and having sponsors, it was never my place or interest to be honest. But after talking to Tucker today it became more clear why I am interested.”

"I want to learn more about what causes the issues we face and ask how we can solve them,” she continued. “The only side I am taking is truth.“

Patrick retired from formal racing in May 2018. Her last two races were the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500.
