Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s JRM driver Justin Allgaier has been tapped for yet another go at the Daytona 500. The 2024 Xfinity Series champion will be making his second consecutive Daytona attempt for the team.Allgaier has once again partnered with country singer Chris Stapleton's Traveller whiskey for the crown jewel event. He'll reprise the No.40 Cup Series car as well.Last year, the 39-year-old missed a qualifying berth and had to compete in the Duel races to get a spot on the 40-car field. He finished top-10 in the 60-lap qualifying race and earned a 19th-place start in the Great American Race. The main event proved to be a fruitful one as well, since he finished top-5 while evading a final lap wreck.On Friday, November 14, JR Motorsports' X handle shared a promotional video announcing the news. He competed alongside two of his JRM teammates Connor Zilisch and Carson Kvapil. After everything was said and done, the No.7 driver finished third in the overall standings.Meanwhile, with Allgaier's crew chief Jim Pohlman moving to Kyle Busch's Cup Series team, JRM has reassigned Andrew Overstreet from the No.1 team to the No.7 entry.Dale Earnhardt Jr. gets upset over Ken schrader's race number remarksDale Earnhardt Jr. recently shared his thoughts on an interaction between Kenny Wallace and Ken Schrader, where the latter opined that race numbers weren't that important.
