Former K-1 Champion Yuki Yoza of Japan felt like he won every single round against the mighty Superlek Kiatmoo9.
The scorecards reflected his confidence, as he cruised to a unanimous decision victory in their bantamweight kickboxing clash on Nov. 16 in Tokyo.
Superlek, the reigning ONE flyweight kickboxing world champion, entered as the favorite given his status as one of the pound-for-pound best strikers on the planet.
However, Yoza was simply a step ahead in every exchange, as he walked through the Thai legend's offense and imposed his own game plan.

Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Yoza said he never felt threatened for the duration of their three-round duel:
"At first, we were both very wary. Like the power. It all started with that kind of tactic. The power of his kicks was no problem. Fighters like Petchtanong and Elbrus Osmanov, who mainly fight in the bantamweight class, naturally have more power."
Yoza faced heavy hitters in the home of martial arts, defeating Elbrus Osmanov and Petchtanong Petchfergus with relative ease.
The Team Vasileus product made it look easy against Superlek and accomplished what he said he was going to do.

Yuki Yoza says he was on fire vs. Superlek
Yuki Yoza could do no wrong against Superlek, as every strike he threw reached its mark emphatically. For the Japanese star, it was one of the best performances of his career.
He said on the same vlog:
"I had prepared different countermeasures for Superlek's knee kicks and things like that. But it wasn't like that. I was blocking with something I'd never done before and hadn't even thought of. I was blocking with my own knee before the knee lift came. I thought I was amazing. My body was moving on its own. I see. I guess this is what they call being in the zone."
