Japanese striking superstar Yuki Yoza has positioned himself as the next bantamweight kickboxing world title contender after outclassing ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek at ONE 173.
Now, the former K-1 Champion has set his sights on the division’s overlord, ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Jonathan Haggerty.
Yoza announced himself as the next in line at 145 pounds by defeating the Thai megastar using his blistering speed, uncanny precision, and crushing power.
But the Team Vasileus ward reckons fans haven't seen his complete arsenal yet.

As far as Yoza is concerned, there are still dimensions to his game he has yet to unveil, which he’d gladly bring out against ‘The General.'
Yoza shared in a vlog post on his official YouTube channel:
"I still haven't shown it. In these last three fights, both of them are Thai and are kickers, while Osmanov kept his distance and kicked, so we've only seen fights that mainly focused on kicks. I really want to show off my punches. In fact, I'm better at punches.”
The 27-year-old striker continued:
“I'd like to fight European fighters too, so I'm looking forward to it. I'll be able to show my style to my opponents from now on, and I'll fight in a completely different way against Haggerty. I'm looking forward to it. I want to keep showing a new side of myself."

Yuki Yoza recalls how his game plan unfolded vs. Superlek
Yuki Yoza stuck to his game plan for three rounds against Superlek and got his hand raised after three hard-fought rounds.
The Japanese striker laid out the blueprint on how he defeated 'The Kicking Machine.'
“I thought Superlek would let me attack and then get points in the second and third rounds. I wasn't interested in going along with that. I thought I'd be fine in terms of stamina if I went all out from the first round," he said.
The Team Vasileus star continued:
I attacked to a certain extent, but I wasn't tired and I felt like I was going at a good pace. But I need to step it up a notch in the second and third rounds and start scoring points.”
