Japanese kickboxing icon Yuki Yoza is coming off the biggest win of his professional career.
The 27-year-old Tokyo native scored a massive victory at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on Nov. 16, when he defeated flyweight kickboxing king ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek by unanimous decision in a three-round bantamweight battle.
Yoza recently went on YouTube to bare important parts of his game plan that he believes won him the fight.
The former K-1 champion said:

“I thought Superlek would let me attack and then get points in the second and third rounds. I wasn't interested in going along with that. I thought I'd be fine in terms of stamina if I went all out from the first round. I attacked to a certain extent, but I wasn't tired and I felt like I was going at a good pace. But I need to step it up a notch in the second and third rounds and start scoring points.”

Yuki Yoza says he’s the best now after beating Superlek: “I believed in myself”
Yuki Yoza is on cloud nine after beating ‘The Kicking Machine’ Superlek. Now, he sees himself as the best bantamweight in the world, but without the hardware to prove it just yet.
He told Mitch Chilson in his post-fight interview:
“So up until I stepped into this Circle, I kept the mindset that I was the weakest fighter on this planet, but as soon as I stepped in, I switched it up to saying that I'm the best. And going against Superlek, such an amazing opponent, I believed in myself, my team, and everyone who came to support me. Thank you, everybody.”
