UFC president Dana White recently spoke about how he nearly spent a crazy sum to land a rare Shohei Ohtani baseball card.Ohtani currently plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers and is widely considered as one of the best baseball stars of the current generation. The Japanese star can pitch and hit, being a rare two-way player, and recently helped his team defend the World Series. The Japanese has won several individual awards as well and could go down as one of the greatest baseball players of all time. There will always be interest in landing rare cards for the big sports stars and it is no different for Ohtani. In a recently uploaded video on Topps' X account, White was asked about the time he almost got the Japanese star’s card and if he paid $4million for the same.“It is very true. I was in the Middle East for three weeks and we were talking about the card. He was very confident that I could get the card for $4million. And I said you got a deal as soon as I got back home.”However, White could not seal the deal due to what happened in the World Series:“The day I got home was Game 7 [of the World Series]. They [Dodgers] won the World Series and the owner of the card completely lost his mind and wanted $10million for it, so… I am out at $10million, I am out.”White added that he was only willing to bid on the card till $4million and even that was “nuts.”Check out Dana White's comments below:When Dana White watched Game 7 of the World SeriesDana White appeared on the FLAGRANT podcast and spoke about the great Game 7 between the LA Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays.White was in the Middle East during the time but was forced to watch the winner-takes-all game:"Let me tell you what I don't give a sh**about.
