After spending the last two years fighting exclusively under kickboxing rules, ‘The Queen’ will figure in atomweight Muay Thai action against Martyna Dominczak on Dec. 5 at Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

After notching four straight stoppage wins in Muay Thai at ONE Friday Fights, Phetjeeja jumped at the chance to vie for the interim atomweight kickboxing crown against Anissa Meksen.

She stayed under the ruleset for two more bouts, unifying the belts against Janet Todd and recently defending it against Kana Morimoto at ONE 172 in Tokyo last March.

Now, it’s time for the 23-year-old to don the four-ounce gloves anew, and she couldn’t be happier.

The Team Mehdi Zatout affiliate told ONE Championship in her pre-event interview:

“This fight is extremely important because it’s my first Muay Thai fight in two years. Many fans are probably waiting to see my performance. I will try my best to defeat Martyna in the best possible form.”

While Phetjeeja adjusted well in kickboxing, it’s clear she’s still at her best in ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’. ‘The Queen’ will be ready to unleash her full arsenal of elite clinch work, elbows, and sweeps at ONE Fight Night 38.

Phetjeeja opens up about emotional reunion with Mehdi Zatout

After a year apart, the pair reunited at ONE 173 last March. Soon, old wounds healed and 'The Queen' made the decision to return to the Pattaya-based camp.

“Honestly, I missed this place. It’s where I started, where we fought together, where we struggled together, and where I became a champion. I feel that way about this place,” she told ONE.
