While Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua are set to lock horns in an eight-round boxing clash on Netflix this December, it seems the pair has found a common enemy in Francis Ngannou in the lead-up to the fight. When Paul's fight against Gervonta Davis came undone due to legal complications on 'Tank's' end, Ngannou was reportedly among the names being considered as a replacement. The former UFC heavyweight champion, however, rejected the offer, deeming it disrespectful and noting that the fight made little sense for his career.Since then, the pair have had numerous exchanges on social media, and when the topic came up during his press conference with Joshua, 'The Problem Child' went nuclear:"When I go in there and do 10 times, 100 times better than Francis [against Joshua], we’ll see how he feels then. The guy’s a joke. He’s a dumba**, he’s stuck in mud. Francis to me is an easy fight as a boxer, so that’s all we need to talk about him."Interestingly, Joshua, who KOd the Cameroonian in the second round of their March 2024 bout, also joined in on Paul's criticism of 'The Predator':"He should be up here if he was serious. He wants to fight rather than talking, be about it, don’t talk about it. If you've got something to say you need to yourself in boxing, the best way to do it is to let your hands go... We come up here and we do the talking in the ring. All this online stuff... Just keep quiet, if you're about it, be about it."Check out Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua's comments on Francis Ngannou below:Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua: Betting oddsAnthony Joshua is a former two-time unified heavyweight champion of the world, who holds wins over the likes of Dillian Whyte and Wladimir Klitschko. Meanwhile, a win against an over-the-hill Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is arguably the biggest feather in Jake Paul's boxing resume.Unsurprisingly, the betting odds reflect the gap in their pedigree. Joshua is a -1100 favorite for the contest, with Paul as a +650 underdog. However, with the fight still over three weeks out, the final money lines might be significantly different.Currently, a successful $100 bet on 'AJ' will provide a payout of $109.9, while the same wager on the underdog could result in a greater winning of $750, if Paul gets his hand raised.
