“The most formidable weapons” - Masaaki Noiri reveals what he thinks is Superbon’s best move

Superbon's trademark head kicks haven't gone unnoticed by Masaaki Noiri, who considers that the Thai's most dangerous weapon within his world-class arsenal.

The Team Vasileus star hopes to trade his interim crown for undisputed gold when he takes on the Superbon Training Camp founder in a ONE featherweight kickboxing world title unification showdown in the main event of ONE 173 on Sunday, Nov. 16.

Ahead of their hotly anticipated war inside the Ariake Arena, ONE Championship caught up with the 32-year-old Noiri to get his thoughts on his dance partner in Tokyo, Japan.

"His biggest weapon is definitely the high kick. Their timing, angle, and lethality are impeccable. His high kicks are the most formidable weapons that I need to watch out for," Masaaki Noiri told the promotion.

Should he take care of the Thai megastar's most potent tool, a win could be there for the taking for the hometown hero in 'The Land of the Rising Sun'.

After a slow start with two successive defeats on the global stage, Noiri returned to form with a pair of sensational finishes against Shakir Al-Tekreeti and featherweight Muay Thai king Tawanchai – the latter earning him the interim world title that he'll hope to trade for the divisional gold come ONE 173 in Tokyo, Japan.

In a separate interview with the world's largest martial arts organization, Superbon declared that he isn't underestimating what Masaaki Noiri brings to the table.

Referring to his stunning finish of Tawanchai at ONE 172 in Saitama, the reigning featherweight kickboxing king shared:

"I cannot take him for granted at all because he showed it in his previous fight with Tawanchai. It was thought that Tawanchai was far beyond him, but in this sport, you can get knocked off easily in one shot. You cannot take it for granted even for one second up there."
