Undisputed ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion Superbon of Thailand commended Yuki Yoza for his incredible rise in the home of martial arts.
The Japanese striker notched the biggest win of his career when he outclassed Superlek Kiatmoo9 via unanimous decision at ONE 173 on Nov. 16 in Tokyo.
Superbon, who unified the 155-pound belts by beating Masaaki Noiri in the main event, admitted Yoza deserves credit.
The Superbon Training Camp founder gave the Team Vasileus ward his flowers on The ONE Podcast Episode 37:

"We have to give him credit. If you ask whether he's good – he's good. The method [of how he wins] might not seem to please us, his boxing method might not seem to please us, but he gets the job done."
Yoza came to ONE like a hurricane, blasting Elbrus Osmanov and Superbon’s teammate former ONE bantamweight kickboxing world champion Petchtanong Petchfergus.
However, it’s his breathtaking performance over Superlek that turned a lot of heads. His ballistic calf kicks slowed down the Thai superstar, while his impeccable timing and relentless pressure powered him to the career-defining victory.
One thing’s for sure, Yoza has silenced his critics and even turned Superbon into a believer.

While Superbon gave Yuki Yoza some recognition, he also expressed concern for his compatriot Superlek Kiatmoo9.
'The Kicking Machine' has now lost his last two matches, getting dominated by Yoza and Nabil Anane.
For Superbon, getting past the mental hurdle of losing is quite challenging, especially for someone who's so used to winning like Superlek.
The ONE featherweight kickboxing world champion said in the same interview:
"Personally, I think Superlek lacks confidence now. Now that he's lost again, people keep adding pressure and making him worried and lose confidence."
