Three-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Suakim Sor Jor Tongprajin of Thailand came away $50,000 richer in the aftermath of ONE 173.
The Thai veteran scored a stunning third-round TKO of Jake Peacock on November 16 in Tokyo’s Ariake Arena and was one of five recipients of the performance bonus from ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong.
Suakim, who has over 200 professional bouts, once retired from the sport with nothing to show for.
Now, given a second lease in the home of martial arts, the 30-year-old revealed how he’ll put the extra money to good use.

Suakim shared during the ONE 173 post-fight interviews:
"What I want next is to continue fighting in ONE Championship. I want to collect more wins and I want to collect all the bonuses. In the future, I'd like to have my own businesses as well. But with this bonus, I'd like to open a Muay Thai cafe because it's something that not everyone would think about. And also, my girlfriend is also a great baker. She can make great cakes."
A Muay Thai cafe is indeed a unique concept that blends ‘The Art of Eight Limbs’ with culinary creativity.
