Former three-sport queen Stamp Fairtex of Thailand’s comeback fight at ONE 173 did not go according to plan, suffering a unanimous decision loss to Kana Morimoto in atomweight kickboxing action.
The Thai megastar made her return after two years on the sidelines last November 16 at Tokyo’s Ariake Arena.
While Stamp showed flashes of her old self, it was quite clear that ring rust played a major factor. She was outclassed by ‘Krusher Queen’ after three rounds, who dominated the fight using her speed, volume, and precision.
While Stamp was gracious in defeat, she revealed her desire to rematch Kana somewhere down the line.

In her post-fight conversation with combat sports journalist Nick Atkin, Stamp assessed her performance.
The Fairtex Training Center product acknowledged that her timing was off due to her lengthy time off due to a torn meniscus.
Still, the 28-year-old was proud that she was still able to hold her own against an elite striker like Kana.
"Yeah, if I have another chance, I'd like to rematch with her with a good body, better than now. In the second round, I punched her body and she got hurt, and I can see that I could hurt her," Stamp said.

“It was good [that I was able to come back] for my birthday. Because if I didn’t come back today, it means like I would have waited a long time more. I’d get more tired and wait more. So it’s [a] good comeback for me now because next time it’s going to be better,” she told Nick Atkin.
