Jake Paul's upcoming clash against Anthony Joshua has split the boxing world, with several fighters and pundits treating it as a foregone conclusion. However, a former two-weight world champion recently claimed that he believes gamblers might want to think differently.
Former British professional boxer David Haye recently offered his take on the clash. He called Joshua the obvious pick, but sees no value in backing him. He would rather place a small bet on Paul purely based on calculations.
Speaking about the matchup in a recent interview with iFL TV, Haye said:
"Okay. If I'm a betting man, if I'm betting with a high bet and I want to go and put a bet on, it's not really worth betting on Anthony Joshua because he's such a heavy favorite, you know. I'd bet for Jake Paul to win for the crazy, for a no-contest, a draw, technical draw, or something crazy to happen. I'd bet Jake Paul either finds a way to win or gets a draw, technical draw, because you'll get ten to one."

He added:
"Jake Paul in some way, shape, or form to get a massive surprise upset victory. It will be the biggest sporting upset. I think if this happens, not just boxing, in any sport... The fact that you'd get someone with such a lack of experience at the world level challenging someone who is world level and has proven it and has been up there in world belts, unified championships, Olympic medal, world championship silver medalist as an amateur, it's crazy to think. But the fight's taking place, and I'm going to go with Jake Paul by some crazy, something crazy is going to happen."

Demetrious Johnson believes Jake Paul can knock out Anthony Joshua
Demetrious Johnson recently weighed in on the upcoming Jake Paul vs. Anthony Joshua fight and pushed back against the idea that the outcome is already written.
He believes Paul carries real knockout potential against a heavyweight who has shown vulnerability in past outings. Johnson pointed to Joshua’s history of getting clipped in close exchanges and argued that Paul only needs one clean moment to turn the fight on its head.
In a recent episode of the MIGHTYcast, he said:
“I think Jake can knock him out. Anthony Joshua has been knocked out by some weird as* shots before. Andy Ruiz, [Daniel] Dubois knocked him out with a short overhand right, right? Jake Paul can land one of those shots, he can. If Anthony Joshua doesn’t get on his bicycle and start moving around and fight Jake Paul like a boxer. Like pop, oh you missed, oh, pop, pop, like use that range.”
