It appears Mike Perry is dealing with some issues involving tax and recently opened up about his financial accounting problems.Perry is among the most popular names in combat sports today and is known for his incredible tenacity as a fighter. After racking up a professional MMA record of 14-8, he transitioned to bare-knuckle boxing and has established himself as the face of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC).As a bare-knuckle fighter, the former UFC star has recorded wins over high-profile personalities like Luke Rockhold, Michael 'Venom' Page, Eddie Alvarez, Thiago Alves, and Jeremy Stephens. Last July, Perry also faced Jake Paul in a blockbuster professional boxing match.In a recent episode of the Overdogs Podcast, Perry opened up about his tax problems and revealed that he owed over $800,000 after his accountants seemingly fumbled the numbers. He said:"I’m retiring, though. I did it, I’m done, they’re not letting me be rich. They were like, ‘Oh you thought you were rich, give us everything you have.' I was like, 'Wow.' Now was supposed to be the time I was supposed to have the money."He continued:"Somebody dropped the ball. My accountant goes, 'Hey Mike, we just saw the Jake Paul money.' B*tch, what do you mean you just saw it? It’s been there. I owe everything to them. All was planned, and in place by the tax team in Miami, a ball was dropped on my assets. I trained all those years, I took the punches, I bled, and the country gets the credit. You’re welcome, smh."
