Khamzat Chimaev was all praise for Arman Tsarukyan after the latter’s win over Dan Hooker at UFC Qatar. Tsarukyan submitted Hooker in the second round as he continued his chase for a UFC lightweight title shot.The Armenian was to fight Islam Makhachev for the gold at UFC 311. However, he pulled out just one day before the bout due to a back injury.This dominant win adds more weight to his title shot claims, something that Chimaev also backed. ‘Borz’ spoke to the UFC after Tsarukyan’s win and suggested that this was a champion’s performance:“Performance was crazy. Crazy like world champion. I knew it was going to be a finish, but I wanted to wait to not say that.”The UFC middleweight champion also called Tsarukyan "the champ” and pushed for the Armenian to get a title shot.“Arman is the best, he's the No.1, he's the champ.
