Malaysian-Thai sensation Aliff Sor Dechapan wrapped up his calendar year with another performance that reminded fight fans, and, more importantly, strawweight Muay Thai king Prajanchai PK Saenchai, that there is a new warrior who's ready to take over the stacked division.

The 21-year-old talent outpointed Lebanese teenage star Ramadan Ondash via unanimous decision during their strawweight Muay Thai tiff at ONE Fight Night 38 inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, this past Friday, Dec. 5.

It was far from straightforward. Ondash, nicknamed 'The Scorpion', came out of the gates ready to sting the Sor Dechapan affiliate and move 5-0 inside the Circle.

The Tiger Muay Thai slugger caught Aliff Sor Dechapan with everything he had in the opening frame. Lightning-quick combinations, stinging straights, and sneaky hooks. All came with the intention of dropping the lanky Malaysian-based standout early.

However, Round 2 provided a different tale.

Aliff Sor Dechapan used 'The Scorpion's' aggression against him. With reach and height advantage favoring him, the Malaysian-Thai fighter established his range with his kicks and teeps.

Every time Ondash advanced, he found ways to counter with punches, teeps, and kicks that rattled the Lebanese firecracker's ribs. Round 2 was all Aliff, but the third saw the previously undefeated Tiger Muay Thai star go in for the kill early.

The 19-year-old Ondash swung in with a left hook, but he never saw his 21-year-old opponent going airborne to land a left knee that sent him down for an eight-count.

From then on, he continued pressing to pull something significant. Sadly, none materialized as the Malaysian-Thai standout got his hand raised after an entertaining nine-minute war.

Aliff Sor Dechapan improved to 62-9 in his career after getting his hand raised inside the Mecca of Muay Thai this past Friday.

While it did bring joy to the young gun, the icing on the cake came moments later when Mitch Chilson announced that his next fight would be against reigning ONE strawweight Muay Thai world champion Prajanchai.

With more performances like that, it's easy to see why the Sor Dechapan martial artist can be the one to unseat the mighty Thai next year.

His past five victories on the global stage have shown his ability to adapt, dominate, and finish anyone standing across from him. Prajanchai may be a test like none other, but given the confidence and momentum Aliff rides, don't be surprised if the strawweight Muay Thai division has a new king in 2026.
