“No one can speak to me like that” - Marat Grigorian out to silence brash Rukiya Anpo in ONE 173 showdown

When former ONE world title challenger Marat Grigorian and combat sports star ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo first started talking trash, the Armenian icon didn’t like his Japanese opponent’s tone. Now, the 34-year-old veteran can’t wait to step inside the Circle next month to shut him up.

Grigorian and Anpo have been going back and forth since this fight was announced, blasting each other with heated one-liners on social media and through various interviews. It seems Grigorian, however, has had enough.

The 34-year-old veteran told ONE Championship that he cannot wait to silence Anpo once and for all. He said:

“No one can speak to me like that. But let him speak now. The days will go fast, and when ONE 173 comes, I’ll show him who Marat Grigorian is.”

Grigorian and Anpo battle at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which takes place live on Sunday, November 16, from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

Rukiya Anpo declares respect for Marat Grigorian despite war of words

In the midst of the bad blood brewing between them ahead of ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on November 16, ‘Demolition Man’ Rukiya Anpo clarifies that he actually has a lot of respect for Marat Grigorian, as a fighter.

He told Sportskeeda MMA in an exclusive interview:

“Other than the ONE Championship [belt], Marat Grigorian has had all the major belts in kickboxing. I really respect Marat Grigorian’s career and I accept that he is my strongest opponent in kickboxing ever.”
